It’s a small piece of nail that I can’t remove no matter how much a gargle, floss or brush. It’s very annoying. Obviously I need to see a dentist but what I can do to remove this nail by myself first?

My boyfriend says that I grind my teeth at night, and with one look at my teeth, my dentist says that I grind my teeth, too, and I didn’t even mention anything about it to her! She said that the enamel on my molars has worn down so much because of the grinding, and in order to protect my teeth, I need to wear a night guard…but it’s around $400!!
