When you first come in contact with someone with a cold sore, how long before you would show your first cold sore?

I first noticed my cold sore last tuesday, so its been 8 days now. It’s in the healing phase, the scabs have almost all come off, and the skin is just a little pink still. (it was a small one to begin with, never spread too much). Its been hard holding off, but when do you think it would be ok to kiss someone again?

I’ve had a cold all week and now I have sore on the bottonm of my nostril that really hurts and just looks plain gross. Plus Tommorrow is Friday and I don’t want to walk around wtih this disgusting thing on my nose. I know I can’t make it go away over night but anything would help.I know It’s gross but somebody has got to know something.

I’m going to see my boyfriend on saturday and I want it to be heal by then. I’ve had it for 5 days already and my cold sore is almost healing.. I finished up using abreva, and now if I use carmex will it be healed completely? I had coldsores all my life, and I just want it to go away. My cold sore is very small now and it’s almost gone so what else can I make it to fully go away and how long does it last?

I know I have a cold sore on the corner of my mouth, but there are also little sores on the inside corner of my mouth, right through the skin of where my cold sore are on the outside. I don’t know if they’re canker sores of if they’re cold sores. Also, I’m using Blistex Lip Medex on my outer cold sore and am applying it very often on my sore. How can I get rid of this, both on the outside and inside of my mouth?

Also, are canker sores contagious? I know cold sores are and u should nt have oral sex, but what about a canker sore?

I’m a teen and im pretty sure its a pimple, it’s inflamated red on the outside and white on the inner part, by my lip, and im scared its a cold sore? Can anyone help?

I was at the beach and my face got sunburnt and now my lips are blistering. My boyfriend is afraid that this is the first sign of having a cold sore virus because the sun can trigger cold sores. I have never had cold sores before. Is this just sunburnt lips or something else.

Ok, so I have been getting cold sores my whole life but i have only had them spread onto my face once before. This time I have a cold sore on my lip and then it has spread into a bunch of tiny bumps below my lip in a cluster going downwards. I have Zovirax prescribed but it doesn’t seem to help at all. I have also iced it but it’s still getting bigger. Help!

I just got a cold sore yesterday (again grrr!) It sucks too because I’m going to a dace to night. Anyway my cold sores tend to last for up to almost two weeks and there a pain in the butt! Does anybody know anything to treat a cold sore with and if so, what is the best and fasting working thing?
